Stashley is a personal link library. This page explains what it stores and why. In short: it keeps the links you save so you can find them again, and nothing else. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used to track you.
If you don’t sign in
Everything you save — links, their previews, your topics and preferences — stays in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device except as described under “Link previews”. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it.
If you sign in
You can sign in with Google, GitHub or an emailed link so your library syncs across devices. Then Stashley stores:
- your account details from the sign-in provider: email address and, for GitHub, your username;
- the links you save, with their titles, descriptions, preview images, topics and favorites;
- the topics you create.
This is stored with Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in Mumbai, India). Each account can only read its own data. Stashley only asks Google and GitHub for your basic profile and email address — never your contacts, files, repositories or anything else.
Link previews
When you save a link, Stashley’s server visits that address once to read its title, description and preview image. Only the link itself is sent; nothing about you. Preview images and site icons then load in your browser directly from the website they belong to.
Hosting and visit counts
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard web request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.
Stashley uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you; it only reports totals such as how many people visited and which pages they opened.
Shared topics
Topics are private unless you share one. Sharing creates a link; anyone who has it can see that topic’s links (titles, descriptions, previews) and your name as given by Google or GitHub — never your email or your other topics. Stop sharing at any time and the link stops working.
Deleting your data
Deleting a link in Stashley deletes it from your account. To delete your whole account and everything in it, contact the developer below.
